asommonument.jpg506th Commemorative Monument

Completed July 5, 2011

The Airborne and Special Operations Museum near Fort Bragg at 100 Bragg Boulevard in Fayetteville, NC has an entrance walkway lined with memorial stones commemorating airborne and special operations units. Regrettably, the 506th was not represented, so the 506th Association, in conjunction with the Museum Director, undertook a project to place a Currahee stone on that walkway. These stones are paid for by veterans and veterans groups.

The 506th Commemorative Monument has been placed with the other unit memorial stones lining the museum entrance walkway.
