Red Currahee Soldiers visit Camp Toccoa

A group of more than 60 Soldiers with 1st Battalion “Red,” 506th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team “Currahee”, 101st Airborne Division, as well as Family members, traveled to Camp Toccoa, Ga., Saturday.  

“Understanding the physical training that the original Toccoa (Currahee) Soldiers grew up with and how they grew closer together through it, helped me better understand the kind of Soldiers they were in combat during World War II, and the legacy we follow to this day,” said 1st Lt. Brett A. Schuck, an Infantry officer with 1st Bn., 506th Inf. Regt., 4th BCT, 101st Abn. Div.
